... MEXICAN MURALISM

The Mexican Revolution was a armed, social and politic movement that change mexican history, and this change needed new lenguage, new simbiotics, then the president Obregon named Jose Vascoselos as public education minister in the beggining of the 20s, then he invited some international well known artist to paint murals that remind mexican culture. That is how from the pencil of Rivera, Siqueiros or Orozco, born a international recogniced artistic movement: Mexican Muralism

Diego Rivera
The most important artist in the Muralism Movement, Frida Kahlo´s  housband.His wrok shows the national proud and the indigenous culture throught plane shapes. His huge talent made he was hired to paint a mural at the Lobby of the Rocketfeller Center in New York, but it was distroyed before he finished it because on it was Lenin, Trosky and Molotov. It supposed to represent the power of man over the universe. 
David Alfaro Siqueiros
Surrealitic and expresionistic, the Siqueiro´s work represent the human´s historical struggle and suffering for get a better society,
"The Human March" at Mexico City is the biggest work of the artist

Rufino Tamayo
If you see a Watermelon artwork you will know inmidiatly it is a Tamayo work. He tried to remind prehispanic feelings with the use of terracotta and primary colors contrast. His shapes remind the Duchamp cubism, trying to represent mexican culture symbols. 

José Clemente Orozco
Remebering the glory of the Mexican Hitory, Orozco is one of the pioneers of the Muralism in Mexico.
